Day 1 : Cultural Heritage & Coastal Sunset (West Sumba)Morning: Arrive at Tambolaka Airport (TMC). Meet your guide and head for a local lunch. Afternoon: Visit Ratenggaro Village. Marvel at the traditional houses with thatched roofs reaching up to 15 meters high, situated right on the edge of a white-sand beach. Late Afternoon: Catch the sunset at Pero Beach. It’s famous for its rugged coral formations and local fishing boats. Evening: Check-in at your hotel in Tambolaka and enjoy dinner.
Day 2 : Crystal Lagoons & The Iconic Savanna (West to East Sumba) Morning: Swim in the crystal-clear salt waters of Weekuri Lagoon, followed by a quick stop at the nearby Mandorak Beach. Midday: Explore Praijing Cultural Village. This village is exceptionally photogenic, built on a hill with a stunning view of the valley below. Late Afternoon: A scenic drive toward East Sumba. Stop at Wairinding Hills for sunset. These rolling green (or golden) hills are the most famous landscape in Sumba. Evening: Arrive in Waingapu, check-in, and rest.
Day 3 : Waterfalls & The Dancing Trees (East Sumba) Morning: Drive to Puru Kambera Savanna. This looks like a slice of Africa in Indonesia, where you can often spot wild Sumba horses roaming free. Midday: Trek to Tanggedu Waterfall, often called the “Grand Canyon of Sumba” due to its unique rock formations and turquoise water. Late Afternoon: Head to Walakiri Beach. This is the most iconic spot in Sumba for photography. Wait for low tide at sunset to capture the silhouette of the famous “Dancing Mangrove Trees.” Evening: Farewell dinner (fresh seafood) at the Waingapu night market.
Day 4 : Sunrise over the Hills & DepartureSunrise: (Optional) Visit Tenau Hill or Brotherhood Hill (Bukit Persaudaraan) for a breathtaking sunrise over the misty river valleys and rice fields. Morning: Shop for authentic Sumba Ikat (Handwoven Textiles)—one of the most prestigious traditional cloths in Indonesia. Noon: Transfer to Waingapu Airport (WGP) for your flight back to Bali.
